First Day of Our Homeschool
Homeschool First Day Jitters We moved to North Carolina from Georgia due to my husband's work. The school system in the area we moved to was not really going to work for my son, he has severe ADHD, and the school was already short staffed from covid. My husband agreed to let me stay home and homeschool him myself. Sounded simply enough until the moment I am supposed to teach, and words are supposed to come out of my mouth. I freeze up like a deer in headlights. I am thinking, I am not a teacher, I was a medical assistant for 10 years. I have no idea home to get the information out of the books into my child's head. What if he thinks it is boring or worse than public school? I gave him a book and put on some classical music, told him that mom needed a minute to gather her thoughts.
